Is this your first time trying yoga? Or just the first time to our studio? Either way, we want to ensure you feel welcome and relaxed - no matter what your experience level. All of our teachers and classes accomodate all levels of students. We know you might have some questions though, so this section will help answer them. What should I wear or bring? Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement. Tops should either tuck in or be tight enough not to fall into your face in an inverted (upside-down) pose. Feel free to bring water, but it is also available for sale in the studio. Do I need to bring any equipment? No, the studio will have everything you need. If you have a mat that you prefer, you are welcome to bring it though. How early should I come for class? Try to be there at least ten minutes before the scheduled start. If you are going to change into yoga clothes at the studio (we have changing rooms) give yourself extra time. Your first time you will be required to fill out a New Member Questionnaire and Waiver Form . These will take about ten minutes in the studio, or you can print them now, fill them out and bring them with you. I don't think my body can handle yoga. What should I do? Yoga will help almost any body type and athletic level. As you practice, you will develop the flexibility. And you will be amazed how much better you feel after the first class. If you have any concerns about physical or health limitations please call or come in and talk to us. Our teachers can show you how poses can be modified to accomodate many physical conditions. | ||
